Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor will remove all equipment, piping, concrete debris and rubble, and excavated dirt to an approved permanent disposal site. None of the mechanical equipment at the sites is operational and may not have any recycle value. The 12-inch diameter PVC water well casings are located in the pedestal under the electric pump and motor. These casings were specified to extend 98 feet below surface grade. The well contractor will be required to remove the subsurface pump and internal well piping. According to the information available to the City, Well #1 (near the south boundary of the park) has a well string totaling 96 feet. Well #4 (near West 10th Street) has a well string totaling 115 feet. Each string primarily consists of an 8-5/8 inch column with a 9-1/2 inch bowl assembly for the bottom (+/-) 15 feet of the string. Each of the two strings terminates with an 8 inch galvanized cone strainer. Well #3 has no well pump or internal piping string. (Note that Well #2 does not exist.)
