Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project is the new construction of a Computer Science Building to house the Department of Computer Science and the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS). The A/E shall provide design services for the seven (7) Project phases: program verification, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding/GMP, construction administration, and post-construction, as well as other identified special and optional services. The A/E is responsible during each phase of design to recommend alternatives that will achieve cost efficiencies. These recommendations should first consider creative design solutions rather than a reduction in the quantity and quality of the final project.
