The 2025 Joint Base Andrews (JBA) Open House is scheduled to occur September 12-14, 2025. This event in the National Capital Region will feature aerial demonstrations and static displays of significant military aircraft in United States Air Force (USAF) history. In support of this effort, the government seeks to secure the services of contractor-operated, historicallysignificant aircraft to perform and/or be displayed for event attendees during the JBA Air Show & Open House. The government seeks ‘warbirds’ IAW AFMAN 10-1004 Attachment 6, to accomplish one aerial performance with narration per aircraft per day of the JBA Open House, and/or static display during Open House hours when not engaged in flying activities. The intent of this requirement is to award multiple warbird team aerial demonstration and static display contracts. Warbird static displays may be awarded as standalone contracts, and/or satisfied by warbird aircraft who also provides an aerial demonstration. A warbird is defined as a privately-owned vintage military aircraft (or likeness thereof) that has been used in a military conflict or which is of significance in the history of military aviation. Warbirds could be a U.S. military aircraft or that of a foreign government. The narration during the show should clearly note the aircraft’s military significance. Warbirds will be painted in a military paint scheme. These aircraft display Air Force and military history and increase awareness of the Air Force’s role in national security. Aerial and static displays show attendees the capabilities of the aircraft.
