Specifications include, but are not limited to:Trees to be cut will be marked or may be designated for cutting. Tree Length System: A harvesting system capable of picking up a tree, carrying it to a trail. This system should be a feller-buncher ahead of a skidder yarding to a delimber. Cut-To-Length System: A harvesting system capable of cutting a tree, limbing and bucking it and setting it aside for a forwarder. This system should be a CTL processor ahead of a forwarder. (Also includes a feller buncher ahead of a processor and forwarder) Trail spacing is to be on average 75’ center to center and no more than 15’ wide for CTL and 18’ wide for tree length. The contractor will be responsible for flagging trails if needed every 150’ and having a Bureau approved GPS unit inside the harvesting machine. Trails are expected to not be perfectly straight in order to avoid cutting un marked /non-designated trees.
