The primary objectives are redesigning and updating the website and adding pages for additional departments. We are seeking a vendor to assist in facilitating the design process. The vendor will work with the IT department to design the bulk of the website. Subsequently, the vendor will collaborate with all additional departments to update or create their respective pages. We are looking to migrate the current hosted documents to the new website to ensure that historical information remains accessible to the general public. Our goal is to enable departments to update their own pages without permitting them to modify any other page. The vendor should also provide support and maintenance for the website, including error resolution and addressing general questions. The IT department will maintain the DNS record and be responsible for updating the DNS record to point to the new web hosting provider when it is time to transition to the new website. The new website should adhere to ADA compliance standards for Municipal Websites. The current website hosts a calendar for posting meeting times and information, and a contact submission form; the new website should have similar features available. The website should be cloud-hosted; there should be no expectation for Penobscot County to host the website on-premises.
