1. Unit: A. Heavy duty, ten (10) wheel dump truck cab and chassis with Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of not less than 60,000 pounds. B. Expected gross combination weight of 80,000 pounds. C. Axle configuration: 6 X 4. 2. Wheelbase and Cab-to-Axle (CA): A. Wheelbase shall be a sufficient length to accommodate a 12-foot (12 yard) dump body and also plow rigging. This cab-to-axle (CA) measurement shall be determined by the Chassis and Equipment Dealer. B. AF dimensions must allow for a minimum 12-inch frame to extend past the rear tires to facilitate mounting the dump body and brake controls with mounted lighting adapters for a trailer. C. Unit must have both electric and air lines to the rear, with tractor protection valve. 3. Front Axle: A. 18,000-pound minimum capacity wide track, I-Beam type, such as a Meritor MFS18-133A or equivalent. B. Suitable for extreme snow plow and dump truck service. C. Oil lubricated and sealed wheel bearings with visible oil supply. D. Front springs shall be heavy duty, designed to support the plow and wing in travel position, under full ballast load with no appreciable sag or deflection on either side. E. Front, Spring Multi-leaf, Shackle Type, 18,000-pound capacity. F. Springs, Front Auxiliary Air Bag, Right Side Only, Driver Control. G. Front axle shall be set-back type. H. Front shock absorbers.
