Specifications include, but are not limited to: Bid Area 1 – Plowing and clearing Travel ways and primary parking areas. On the legend of the map Travel ways are denoted by RED slashed areas Primary Parking Areas are denoted by Yellow Slashed areas. Secure area denoted on the map in blue slash marks. This area requires special access from the military employees located in building 37 and 35. They will allow access through the gates during normal work hours of 0630-330 Monday through Friday, except for federal holidays. There are areas designated for snow piles (stockpile on the map) to be placed. The contractor will NOT be responsible for the removal of these piles. Removal of the snow plies will be completed by the DFE staff. The front gate is motorized, and the contractor will be issued a pin number for the entry gate. The gate must clear of snow and sanded prior to 6am along with the parking areas and travel ways. Bid Area 2 – Shoveling and clearing Sidewalks, stairs and handicap ramps front walkway indicated on the map in purple slash marks, of building 7 located on the street side of Winthrop Street the front walkway, stairs and the handicap ramp in front of building 39 located on the street side of Blaine Avenue. These two areas must be free of snow and the appropriate ice melt used the concrete prior to 6 am. Please note the only authorized treatment for ice removal on concrete is Peladow Calcium Chloride pellets or another brand with the following ingredients list.
