Specifications include, but are not limited to: one (1) single axle, cab and chassis that will be used to assemble a dump truck. The completed unit will be used for construction work and plowing snow. 1. Unit A. Heavy duty 6 wheel dump truck Cab & Chassis with G.V.W. of not less than 43,000 pounds; such as a Workstar SFA or Freightliner 108SD. 2. Wheelbase and CA A. CA shall be sufficient length to accommodate a 10’ (5-7yd) dump body. Chassis must also accommodate plow rigging. Measurement should be 120” CA. B. AF dimensions must alow for a minimum 12” of frame to extend past rear tires to facilitate mounting the dump body and brake controls with lighting adapters for trailer. 3. Front Axle A. 20,000 lb. min. capacity I-Beam type, such as Meritor FL941 or equivalent. B. Suitable for extreme snowplow and dump truck service, 9,500lb left spring and 10,500lb right spring. C. Oil lubricated and sealed wheel bearings with visible oil supply. D. Front springs should be heavy duty designed to suport the plow and wing in travel position, under full ballest load with no appreciable sag or deflection on either side. E. Spring mounted hardware and brackets shall be designed for extreme service.
