Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Review, analyze existing service installation. a. Development of the needs assessment must be completed through an inclusive process. This process must engage, facilities and information technology staff and will be done for each campus has the desire to use these services. b. Provide a report which will include a summary of the results of the process; i. a draft of the inventory by campus or location, ii. any identified deficiency findings, iii. a draft plan for replacing/upgrading equipment This report will be submitted to the Office of the Facilities Management, ITS and General Services for review and approval. The University may ask for clarifications of findings and/or other changes to ensure the needs assessment is accurate and complete. 2) Method of Delivery Plan – The plan will: a. Identify the delivery method (traditional coax and/or streaming over IP) for the campus specific requirements. b. Include Hybrid delivery options with scenarios of phasing out traditional delivery and focusing on long-term IP based streaming services. c. Regarding IP based services, identify how content will be delivered to the campuses, If existing internet transport will be used, include possibilities of direct peering and/or cost recovery to the campus for such use of bandwidth d. With regard to IP streaming, describe the delivery of this service to users, including how users are able to access content (types of devices/platforms) as well as any necessary authentication involved.
