Specifications include, but are not limited to: Upgrade the Maine Army National Guard (MEANG) Geographic Information System (GIS) to the current version of ArcGIS. MEARNG’s GIS currently consists of two (2) servers (database and application/web), an ArcSDE database, several workstations for advanced operators and a custom-built web-mapping application. The operating systems on both servers are the Windows Server 2012 R2 platform. The database server has ArcGIS for Server 10.4.1 installed and an ArcSDE database built on SQL Server 2016. It also has ArcGIS Desktop installed. The application server has a custom web mapping application, named GI-STAR, based on GIS inc.’s OneView platform, and ultimately built on HTML5 and the ArcGIS API for Javascript. A web adaptor is installed for the GI-STAR application. This server had Portal for ArcGIS installed, but it was uninstalled due to a suspected ESRI bug with the IP address. The primary ArcGIS license manager for most of the users resides on the application server. The entire system is installed on a Department of Defense secure federal network, additional security and firewall issues not common on average networks may present obstacles.
