The design-build firm will perform a comprehensive load analysis to confirm sizing requirements. d. Ten (10) second response time to provide power to critical loads after a utility outage. 2. Design and Engineering a. All design work must be conducted by a certified Professional Engineer (P.E.). b. The design-build firm will produce and submit all necessary plans, calculations, and specifications for review and approval by the owner and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). 3. Generator Set: a. Transfer switch with weatherproof enclosure. b. Engine Sized to reliably handle the calculated load, including any transient loading requirements. c. Alternator: Sized to minimize voltage and frequency dips during startup. d. Controls: Include a microprocessor-based controller for automated operation, monitoring, and fault reporting. e. Critical silencer.
