Tasks – Each Day of Service • Complete hygienic cleaning of all restrooms especially walls and floors around sink, toilet and urinal areas (Cleaning Toilet Rooms Specification, Rider D), wipe and sanitize handrails, refill toilet paper leaving an extra roll(s) in the restroom, refill paper towels, soap, urinal tablets, etc. Clean and disinfect sinks, showers and toilets. • Empty waste baskets; collect trash; clean, sanitize and line waste baskets. • Sweep, dry mop or vacuum all non-carpeted floors. • After sweeping damp mop all non-carpeted floors. • Clean and disinfect kitchen table, all countertops, stove top, kitchen sink, exterior of refrigerator and interior and exterior of microwave. • Spot clean all glass. • Spot clean furniture using appropriate cleaners. • Spot clean walls, doors, door hardware and light switches. • Low and mid-level dusting (up to six (6) feet). • Remove ALL cobwebs. • Launder bed linens (sheets, pillow cases). • Make up beds with blankets, clean sheets and clean pillowcases. • Water any houseplants. • Keep custodial closets clean and free of odors. • Remove trash from the facility as needed, a minimum of once weekly November 1st through March 31st, twice weekly April 1st through October 31st or as requested by the Department’s representative. The Department will supply all trash bags and transfer stickers. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to request these supplies in a timely manner. Tasks Once a Month • Vacuum furniture and if practical under furniture. • Clean/degrease kitchen stove hood. • Thoroughly scrub floors to remove any imbedded dirt, stains, marks, grease, ect.. Periodic Tasks All periodic tasks must be performed in the months listed. Tasks - Performed Twice a Year ONLY in The Defined Months • March and September – Take down, wash all light fixtures. • March and September – High level dusting (above 6 feet). • March and September - Clean and degrease walls, woodwork and interior and exterior of cupboards. • March and September – Thoroughly clean all interior and exterior surfaces of refrigerators, freezers and ovens. Must remove and clean all racks and shelfs and clean gaskets on appliance doors. • April and October – Clean all exterior windows including window sashes inside and out. • April and October – Clean window blinds, launder and iron curtains. • April and October – Launder all blankets.
