Specifications include, but are not limited to:The intention of this project is to change the use of the building from a fuel containment building to the new De-icing operation building at the BGR Airport. Modifications to the building is required to achieve our goal and are stipulated in the following scope of work: A.Building envelope- •Enclose the cross ventilation opening in the north sidewall with metal siding & interior liner panels and trim to match existing. Apply 10” insulation in the cavity between both wall panels. •Insulate the entire ceiling, 60’ wide x 120’ long with 10” insulation installed between purlins with a reinforced white vapor barrier exposed inside. Recommend using the Simple Savor insulation system manufactured by Thermal Design or approved equal. Specification sheet and contact information is attached. •On the south side wall are four (4) existing framed openings, each opening is 26’ wide x 14’ high. Supply and Install a sectional door in each opening. Each door will have an R-value of R-17, one (1) row of glass, high lifted 4’, side mount automatic operator, and 2 push button remote control opener for each door. B.Water Service- •Install a new 315’ feet of 6” water main to building 456 and connect to the existing 8” main near the hydrant located off Godfrey Boulevard next to building 457. The 8” main is approximately 5’-10” deep. •Core drill foundation at north west corner of building 456 to allow new water main riser into the building, backfill and replace slab area accordingly. •Please add allowance for Bangor Water District inspection/connection supervision
