The City of Presque Isle is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural and engineering firms for schematic design and cost estimation services for a proposed 50,000-square-foot facility. The cost estimate is critically important for the planning of funding for this building. Cost estimates must be detailed and within +-10% of the final engineers cost estimate. It is assumed that the cost estimated will include estimates for 2025 with an accelerator for construction in 2027. The final deliverables will include but not be limited to a full color rendering of the building and a proposed floor plan suitable for presentations to funding agencies. The facility will be designed to have multiple uses depending on the final tenant. The facility could be a mixture of offices and manufacturing space for aerospace flight vehicles. A second use for the facility could be a mixture of offices and research labs. A third use could be a mixture of offices and aircraft hangar space for the operation of a small or medium size maintenance, refit and overhaul operation. At a minimum, there will be a full color rendering, proposed floor plan and a cost estimate for each potential use.
