Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall provide herbicide treatment of all weeds, grass, and brush within the limits of all the public rights-of-way of all highways: I-20 from Spring Street to Industrial Loop, I-49 from Murphy Street to Flournoy Lucas Road and 3132 from Greenwood Road to Flournoy Lucas Road. The public right-of-way shall be defined as running from the edge of the road surface to the outside edge of the right-of-way including areas around bridges and guard rails. It is understood to include the area outside the roadside drainage ditch and within the public right-of-way. In the event privately owned fences or other appurtenances are present, treatment shall extend to their edge. The City of Shreveport reserves the right at any time and at it’s sole discretion to include or exclude listed areas for treatment as may be necessary. The City further reserves the right to increase or decrease the times and frequency of application as may be necessary. In conjunction with the herbicide program, a mowing program shall supplement as necessary to maintain all vegetation within the scope of these specifications.
