Specifications include, but are not limited to: (13) Storage Rack Systems design/requirements: Each shelving unit must measure between a range of 68” tall x 46” wide x 21” deep to 84” tall x 46” wide x 21” deep. Framing system for each shelving unit must be 2” square tubing x 11 gauge wall and must be of welded design. Cross bracing must be provided on the rear of the frame unit for structural rigidity. Units shall be designed to be anchored to the floor to avoid penetrating existing wall that is a hollow structural clay tile and forms a smoke barrier. Each rack system must have (3) shelves, of which (2) sliding shelves will go under top shelf which is stationary. Each sliding shelf will have the capacity for one large tank or two smaller tanks. Each shelfon the unit must be able to hold a minimum of 400 pounds, therefore each unit must hold at least 1200 pounds. (30) Stainless Steel Storage Tanks: Fabricated stainless steel tanks that must have the ability to store research specimens inethyl alcohol. Two different sizes of tanks are needed: x15 tanks must be square size, 18-gallon capacity. Dimensions must fit within the range of 14”W x 17”L x 14”H to 15”W x 18”L x 15”H x15 tanks must be rectangular size, 35-gallon capacity. Dimensions must fit within the range of 14”W x 35”L x 14”H to 15”W x 36”L x 15”H Body of all tanks must be 18 gauge, 316 stainless steel. All tanks shall be fabricated with a center tie strap and a reinforcing band around the top to prevent bulging of the tank when filled. All tank lids must be fabricated from 18 gauge, 316 stainless steel. Stainless steel clamp bars that will aid in sealing the lid to the tank must be provided around perimeter of lid for all tanks. Bars must be 11 gauge stainless steel. All edges of the lid must have a hem to provide adequate contact with seal between lid and tank body. Tanks must be designed to incorporate a ¼” thick x ½” wide silicon rubber seal. The pull down system will compress the seal to maximize seal between lid and tank body. This gasket seal must be attached around the rim of the entire perimeter of the tank. Paint: Paint applied to storage rack systems must be durable/resistant to scratches from storage tanks when tanks are placed on storage rack system, and be a neutral color such as gray or white.
