Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Comprehensive Inspection Service: 1. Report in with customer representative. 2. Record and report abnormal conditions, measurements taken, etc. 3. Review customer logs with customer for operational problems and trends. 4. Update boiler software & calibrate operation of boiler. B. General Assembly Check 1. General boiler conditions: a. Blow down the bottom of the boiler. b. Blow down the water column(s) and open the drain slowly to prevent float damage. c. Draw down water column and check: 1. Low water cut off 2. Automatic Feeder if applicable 3. Feed water pump control d. Check the free movement of the air damper device or devices. e. Check the entire outside of the boiler for signs of hot spots. 2. Check the indicating or running lights and alarms to make sure they are functioning properly. a. Check the condition of the gauge glass on the low water cutoff for wear and etching. b. Observe the operating and modulating controls, and while watching the pressure gauge, see if they are turning on and off at their respective set points. c. Inspect front door and air stub for air leakage. d. Inspect rear door for leakage. e. Visually inspect and test the following items: 1. Thermal safety switch 2. Aqua stat or pressure controls 3. High and low gas pressure switches 4. Modulation potential meter pressure switch 5. Low fire start switch 6. Fan Control switch 3. Inspect for leaks and report leak results: a. Repair minor leaks as required (e.g. valve packing, flare nuts). b. Look for leaks of fuel, water or flue gas. c. Check mechanical linkages for wear
