The Consultant will provide engineering and related services for the design and development of construction plans for roadway intersection improvements, signal improvement and pedestrian improvements on US 165 and US 165 Service Roads from south of Deloache Street to White Street. The interchange at I-20 and US 165 is excluded from the project limit. The improvements include adding J-turns with bulb-outs, adding turn lanes, extending existing turn lanes, converting existing intersections to R-Cut intersections, reconfiguring existing intersections to improve pedestrian mobility, removing full access medians, installing high friction surface treatments, adding pedestrian cross walks, and adding pedestrian and bike facilities to Service Roads. The improvements also include developments of traffic signal timings at the intersections and modifying the existing lighting system within the project limit.
