Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) wishes to secure the services of a consultant toperform all aspects of preparing and submitting to Federal authorities an update to the existing region-wide Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan addresses natural and man-caused hazards that could potentiallyaffect a 13-county region. The goal of the plan is to minimize or eliminate the long- term risk to human lifeand property from known hazards and their effects by identifying and implementing cost-effectivemitigation actions that either prevent the hazards or minimize the time and costs for disaster responseand recovery. The purpose of this update is to: update data regarding regional assets and potentialhazards, revise mitigation actions for each of the partner entities, and overall risk assessment for theregion. The update will also be an opportunity to evaluate past mitigation actions and explore new meansof mitigating potential hazard losses
