Specifications include, but are not limited to: . Provide uniformed officers (“Officers”) to maintain order and ensure security of Judges, staff and the general public at the Facility. b. Control access to the Facility to reduce security risk, control crowds, and ensure public safety. c. Respond to emergency calls for security services when requested by Kenner. d. Inspect items and people that enter the Facility for any concealed, dangerous, or prohibited items. Inspection may include the following: Operate the walkthrough magnetometers, X-ray machines, hand held wand metal detectors and other types of screening devices. Conduct hand searches of personally carried items. e. Seize any prohibited items and turn them over to the Kenner Police Department. f. Cooperate with the Kenner Police Department in any criminal investigations related to security at the Facility. g. Maintain daily records of the number of visitors entering the Facility and any items seized by Officers. h. Monitor closed circuit cameras at the Facility, when requested by Kenner. i. Intervene, using human relation skills, in situations to prevent escalation. j. Notify appropriate Facility personnel by hand held radio or phone of any active or potential security problems. k. Assist law enforcement agencies or emergency response units when they are responding to situations at the Facility. l. Assist with building evacuations during alarms, bomb threats, and other safety concerns.
