Specifications include, but are not limited to: SHIFTS Each guard shift prepares and submits a Security Guard Daily Report. All guards shall sign in when shift begins and sign out when shift ends on this report. This report will be used to verify work hours as well as log events and happenings for each shift. Guards must keep a record of all incidents and activities, as well as the date and time of each occurrence, that happen on the premises during each shift on the Security Guard Daily Report. At the end of the last guards shift, the security guard on duty shall bring all paperwork from the most recent consecutive shift to the Assistant District Administrator of Operations office before leaving the premises. During each shift, guard shall insure only District 03 personnel and approved visitors are allowed on the premises. Guard shall keep a written record of employees and/or approved visitors entering and exiting the grounds on the Security Guard Daily Report. No personal vehicles are allowed in the secure areas of the facility. Guards shall consume all meals during their designated shift while on the job, and shall not leave the premises to do so. EMERGENCIES, COMPLAINTS AND BRIDGE OPENINGS Guards shall receive and route emergency calls and complaints and document all complaints received on the District Complaint Record Form and the Security Guard Daily Report. Guards shall respond to emergency calls by determining proper Department employees to call, depending on the location and nature of the emergency. A District 03 Contact List shall be provided and must be used to contact the appropriate DOTD employee(s). When bridge openings are requested, the guard shall accurately and completely fill in all required information on the Bridge Opening Notice Form and contact the required office/individual as per the form. PATROLS AND INSPECTIONS Guards shall lock and unlock the District Headquarters yard gates at the beginning and at the close of each business day. Guards must patrol to visually and physically inspect the grounds an exterior of each building as deemed necessary to perform the security services in a safe and professional manner. Guards shall perform inspection tours of the buildings and grounds a minimum of once every four (4) hours. The time of each inspection tour shall be documented on the Security Guard Daily Report.
