These bid specifications are to provide for the rental of generators in various sizes for emergency events, more specifically for hurricane season(s) beginning with the 2025 Hurricane Season. We define our season as five (5) calendar months beginning June 1 and ending October 31. St. Charles Parish reserves the right to extend the time for which we require rental of generators. This ensuing contract will be effective upon bid award and the rental will commence in preparation for the 2025 Hurricane Season. Each year thereafter, St. Charles Parish will communicate with the successful bidder to deliver required generators for the upcoming Hurricane Season. In the event of an evacuation, contractor must have a technician on call in St Charles Parish 24/7 and be able to reach the location to make the needed repairs within 45 minutes of the call out. Contractor will provide technician with means to communicate (cell phone, satellite phone, radio, etc.) with our designee of St. Charles Parish (contact information will be provided at the time of incident). All generators in sizes below a 500kw shall have a 500-gallon external fuel tank. All equipment must average 5 years or less and be containerized or sound attenuated to ensure the safety of St. Charles Parish.
