All approved donors will be transported by Transportation Agent during the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. If for any reason, the Transportation Agent is unable to remove an approved donor’s remains after 6:00 pm, after hour procedures will be implemented between the hours of 6:00 pm and 7:00 am. For any death calls for approved donors received after 6:00 pm, the Transportation Agent will dispatch a driver OR will have a local funeral home in that area dispatched ASAP for removal of the donor. The resulting cost that is incurred will be paid by the Transportation Agent or the family of the donor, if applicable. This process will be in place until 7:00 am. Any delays incurred with regards to the removal will be avoided as much as possible, but may be beyond our control depending on the availability of the local funeral home. Residence and nursing home calls are a high priority and will receive priority over any other pending calls. These first calls will be picked up as soon as possible after receipt of the approved donation.
