Specifications include, but are not limited to: Within the territorial limits of Consolidated Garbage District No. 1 (See Sec. 2.5.2 Location) of the Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana and in accordance with Jefferson Parish’s ordinance, Chapter 16 Garbage and Other Solid Waste, as amended from time to time, Selected Proposer shall provide twice weekly collection of Solid Waste from Residential Units and Small Business Units, and other curbside collection services including emergency services, pick up of dead animals, yearly collection of Christmas trees, Mardi Gras collection services and other special event services on an as-needed basis and at special event pricing. Selected Proposer shall also provide operation of the Parish’s four (4) Trash Drop-off sites. The quantity of containerized garbage and trash from Residential Units is unlimited for both collection days. Small Business Units are limited to two (2) carts per collection day. Selected Proposal shall provide Residential Units only with once per week, limited collection of Bulk Waste, Tires, and White Goods. Selected Proposer shall provide all the necessary equipment, labor and materials to operate the Parish’s four (4) Trash Drop-off Sites. The Parish shall provide the location and facility, and physical maintenance thereof. Selected Proposer shall provide full-time attendants, roll-off containers, compactors, dumpsters, and other incidentals necessary to effectively operate the sites. All solid waste collected shall be hauled to the Jefferson Parish Sanitary Landfill Site or River Burch Municipal Landfill Site as directed by the Parish for disposal, or other such site designated by the Parish. The Parish will make cost and payment arrangements under the terms of the contract. The Selected Proposer shall not be charged a disposal fee at the site for the Service Units waste collected curbside from Service Units in Consolidated Garbage District No. 1, or waste brought from the Trash Drop-off Sites.
