Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The product supplied must be Extra Course Bulk Southern Rock Salt. Morton Salt or equal. No substitute products will be accepted unless they are chemically and physically equivalent, or superior to the product listed above. Any substitute products submitted are subject to the approval of the bid evaluator. Product evaluations will be based on the physical and chemical properties provided by the bidder within these specifications, the bid sample provided, and compliance with the Chemical and Physical Requirements of these specifications. 2. Quantity. The unit price bid shall be based on furnishing and delivering sodium chloride, F.O.B., to the Carrolton Water Plant, 8800 S. Claiborne Ave., New Orleans, La 70118. The total bid is for furnishing and delivering F.O.B., the quantity of (350) three hundred fifty tons of sodium chloride product. 3. Chemical and Physical Requirements. The sodium chloride to be supplied is a direct mined product of mineral sodium chloride, which is crushed and screened to meet customer size requirements. The product supplied must be similar chemical and physical characteristics to Extra Course Bulk White Crystal Southern Rock Salt. Morton Salt or equal.
