Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to obtain security services 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year, excluding City observed holidays and will include: security protection for City of Shreveport water and wastewater facilities, storage tanks, related infrastructure and other City owned property, including the Cross Lake levee, dam, and associated flood gate. Primary emphasis will be on protecting the Amiss Water Treatment Plant (approximately 35 acres) and Cross Lake dam from terrorist/saboteur intrusion/attack and to search for, detect and report hidden bombs or biochemical and other weapons that could cause damage to the Amiss Plant or the treated water which it produces. The selected security firm may be asked to patrol and check the security of outlying water storage facilities and to prevent unauthorized removal of City-owned property from the plant. Transportation will be provided for tours of these outlying areas. The City of Shreveport reserves the right to reduce or increase the guard coverage/shifts, at any time during the contract period. Written notification will be sent to the contractor, outlining any changes to the guard schedule
