The imaging system shall meet or exceed the following requirements: • Sensor: 1024 × 256 full frame architecture. • Intensifier: 18 mm Gen2 Red-Blue with broad quantum efficiency (200 nm – 900 nm). • Pixel Pitch: 26 μm. • Gating Capability: ~2 ns minimum gate width. • Digitization: 16-bit digitization rates at 500 kHz, 1 MHz, and 2 MHz. • Triggering: Continuous triggering/gating operation up to 1 MHz. • Bias Stabilization: Active bias stabilization for stable dark reference. • Data Interface: Gigabit Ethernet for high-speed data transfer. • Photocathode Cooling: System shall provide photocathode cooling to lower EBI (Equivalent Background Illumination). • Timing Performance: o Timing resolution of 10 psec with RMS jitter < 35 psec. o Total system insertion delay < 27 nsec (from external trigger to intensifier opening). • Built-in Delay and Timing Generators: o Primary Delay Generator: Must provide “repetitive” mode (constant gate width/delay) and “sequential” mode (stepwise delay/gate width for lifetime measurements). o Secondary Programmable Timing Generator: Must provide continuous frequency output to synchronize external devices (e.g., lasers). The generator must utilize a continuous master clock output (TTL) and support continuous triggering up to 1 MHz independent of data collection.
