Basic Services: The Consultant’s basic services shall consist of the following phases: Programming/Scope, Community Outreach, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents. Programming/Scope Phase: Review the scope and programming requirements and determine whether the information is generally in agreement with the available funds for construction (“AFC”), site location, and schedule. Identify strategic locations for the clustering of street trees along the targeted corridors and planting on public property as provided and directed by Parkways. Conduct initial site surveys of designated areas for a total planting quantity of approximately 1,500 trees, and approximately 3,000 square yards of green space creation for new tree wells and new planting strips along the perimeter rights-of-way. Verify and document existing site conditions to the extent required to prepare complete and accurate documents. A combination of field measurements and aerial imagery should be sufficient for this project in most instances. Advise Parkways if any scope requirement is not achievable. Prepare all documents to scale and utilize accurate site surveys as a basis for developing documents. Community Outreach Phase: Conduct community outreach with residential, commercial, and civic stakeholders, including faith-based organizations, schools, and city departments that own and/or maintain land that may receive tree plantings.
