Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. System Overview - Must provide the following: • System Type: High-resolution superconducting MRI scanner. • Magnet Type: Zero boil-off, actively shielded superconducting magnet. • Field Strength: 1.5 Tesla. • Model: Echelon (or equivalent). • OEM Installation: The MRI mobile magnet in the mobile trailer must be from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and installed by the OEM or an OEM approved installer to ensure optimal performance and OEM warranty compliance. Documentation confirming this information must be provided to LSU, upon request. • MRI Imaging must be of quality and provide proof of quality imaging through QC testing on site. 2. Coil Requirements for Small Animal Imaging - The system must include the following coils that are suitable for scanning small animal brains and spines: • Knee Quadrate Coil. • Cervical Quadrate Coil. • Spine Surface Coil. 3. Mobile Trailer Specifications - The mobile medical trailer must: • Be stationed on the LSU campus for the full duration of the rental period. • Include onboard fire system. • Include onboard metal detection system. • Include monitored onboard video security and safety, including door monitoring. • Include monitored external security system. • Have a ventilation system that ensures safe exhaust of cryogenic gases to prevent system failure or safety hazards. Ventilation components must be inspected and maintained for the entire duration of time it is stationed on the LSU campus.
