Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1. Curbside Solid Waste Collection Services: Contractor shall provide limited curbside collection of containerized Solid Waste at all Eligible Locations in Service Area 2-West, including the transportation of Solid Waste to final disposal location. Contractor shall clearly define their proposed service model (semi-automated vs. automated collection) in Contractor’s Proposal. ; Contractor shall outline service model approach for both once weekly curbside Solid Waste collections and twice weekly curbside Solid Waste collections scenarios.; In once weekly curbside Solid Waste collection scenario, Contractor shall issue a second ninetyfive (95) gallon trash cart to all Eligible Locations at the request of the service location to facilitate the containerization of eligible Solid Waste.; 2.2. Bulky Waste Collection Services Contractor shall provide limited curbside collection of Bulky Waste once per week, on a designated collection day, from residential service locations only. Contractor shall not be responsible for providing Bulky Waste collection services to small business locations.; In once weekly solid waste collection scenario, curbside Solid Waste and Bulky Waste collections will occur on the same day. In twice per week solid waste collection scenario, Bulky Waste will be collected on the second collection day of the week.; Residential locations may place up to ten (10) cubic yards of un-containerized bulky waste curbside once weekly on the designated collection day. City Code Sec 138-43 specifies items eligible for Bulky Waste collection.; 2.3. White Goods, E-Waste, and Waste Tires Collection Services Contractor shall provide limited curbside collection only from residential service locations of White Goods (4 per service location per week), electronics, electronic waste, or e-scrap (collectively, “E-Waste”) (4 per service location per week), and waste passenger/light truck tire(s)1 (4 per service location per week) (individually “Waste Tire” or collectively “Waste Tires”) on the once per week designated collection day. Curbside collection of White Goods, E-Waste, and Waste Tires is not provided to small business locations. White Goods, E-Waste, and Waste Tires shall be collected in a stake body truck, boom truck or a combination of both, depending on the type and size of the material. Contractor shall provide a minimum of two (2) stake body trucks which shall be dedicated to this service, each manned by a driver and a minimum of one helper/laborer.; 2.4. Dead Animal Removal Contractor shall remove all dead animals as encountered or as requested by the City, City’s 311 system, or service location, from public roads, right-of-way, curbside and located on public property. Contractor must remove such animals no later than twenty-four (24) hours from the time that Contractor is notified in writing by the City, the City’s 311 System, or Eligible Location (hereinafter written notice by either the City, the City’s 311 System, or an Eligible Location to the Contractor or the Contractor to the City will be referred to as “Notice” or “Notification”). Each Notice shall be logged and entered daily by Contractor in the City’s 311 system for the purpose of tracking and logging requests and complaint calls and follow-up actions.; 2.5. Special Christmas Tree Collection In conjunction with the City of New Orleans’ Christmas Tree Recycling Program, Contractor shall provide curbside collection of Christmas trees from Eligible Locations, excluding any City facilities, and deliver Christmas trees to the location designated by the City (currently Recovery One Landfill at 17000 Chef Menteur Highway).; The cost of the Special Christmas Tree Collection service is included in the cost per Residential and Small Business Units for Curbside Solid Waste collection. No separate payment will be made to the Contractor.; The City shall designate a week in January for the Special Christmas Trees Collection. The collection method shall be determined by the Contractor.
