The scope of work associated with this project consists of the installation of vegetative buffers at the Harvey Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 2343 Pailet Avenue in Harvey, LA, and Marrero Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 6250 Lapalco Boulevard in Marrero, LA. The vegetative buffers are areas of vegetation and green infrastructure installed between the treatment plants and neighboring properties which help to mitigate unpleasant odors, sewer overflows, and stormwater erosion. The intention of the project is to install approximately 2,600 linear feet of vegetative buffers, 20 feet wide, consisting of native tree species and shrubs, topsoil, mulch, fertilizer, grass seeding and grass sodding, and incidental work. Jefferson Parish anticipates the project will require the following supplemental services/disciplines: Topographic and Boundary Surveying and Resident Inspection.
