The City of New Orleans seeks to contract a qualified, licensed healthcare provider that will deliver coordinated medical and behavioral health services on-site at JJIC. The provider must offer 24/7 medical coverage and other services including psychiatric consultation, suicide evaluation and coverage, medication management, crisis intervention, and individual and group counseling, among other supports. The goal is to ensure that all residents receive timely, continuous, and appropriate care that promotes stabilization, wellness, and safe reintegration into the community. The selected contractor must have experience working in juvenile detention or correctional environments and must demonstrate commitment to culturally competent, trauma-informed practices. The City shall evaluate proposals based on experience, capacity, staffing plan, approach to care, quality assurance, and cost. The city seeks proposals from qualified firms and/or individuals to provide comprehensive medical and behavioral health services to youth housed at the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center.
