a. The City of New Orleans (“City”) solicits bids to obtain a requirements contract for the purchase of Fleet Large Tires. b. Brand name products, where used, are shown for example purposes and due to factors of compatibility and standardization. Alternate products having equivalent or demonstrated comparable performance may be offered. If alternate products are offered, bidder shall provide complete specifications. c. The items listed shall be bid FOB-Delivered to the City of New Orleans at 3800 Alvar Street, New Orleans, LA, 70126. d. The item and all of its components shall be new and of the manufacturer’s most current model or design. e. Complete unit must meet or exceed all engineering and safety standards applicable to the tire industry. f. Specifications list minimum requirements so that product reliability, technical soundness and performance are assured. Contractor shall provide all components and parts necessary to provide a complete unit and place the vehicle in immediate service. g. A written description of the company detailing relevant background of the manufacturer should be provided as part of the Bid proposal. h. Each bidder will furnish satisfactory evidence of the manufacturer's ability to construct, supply service, parts and technical assistance for the items specified. The bidder must state the location of the factory and full service center nearest to New Orleans, LA. i. PRODUCT ACCEPTANCE: i. Deliver the unit to location provided by EMD. The unit shall be completely assembled, tested, serviced and ready to operate. ii. Provide a factory trained and qualified representative on-site to perform start-up and demonstration of the performance testing of the Performance Specifications as stated in this section.
