The scope of the project consists of rehabilitating or constructing approximately 18 miles of sidewalks facilities that are compliant with ADA regulations of LA 182. LA 182 within the project limit is an existing roadway that provides two (2) lanes of one‐way traffic in each direction and is divided by a densely developed area located at the center of the two (2) roadways. Eastbound LA 182, also named St. Peter Street, accommodates eastbound traffic flow and LA 182, Westbound also named Main Street, provides westbound traffic flow. The project begins just west of West Spanish Trail Road (logmile 3.73 of control section 004‐04) near the western limits of New Iberia and continues along LA 182 for approximately 4.6 miles before terminating at the Emile Verret Road intersection (logmile 2.391 of control section 004‐05) just east of the New Iberia city limits.
