Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract for qualified labor to provide commercial locksmith service work for door and lock hardware repair, replacement, installation, maintenance and related services to lock/security systems and system components at Louisiana State University- Shreveport (LSUS). The Locksmith supplier (Supplier) is to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, licenses and certifications, transportation and incidentals to provide locksmith services in accordance with all LSUS bid provisions. This work requires competence in the Corbin Russwin Key systems and similar master key systems. The LSUS lock systems are predominantly Corbin Russwin of which the supplier will be required to repair and service. Experience in Schlage, MasterLock , Best, Yale, and other similar commercial manufacturers may be required. The supplier may utilize the specialized services of a sub-contractor upon approval of Facility Services in order to provide the necessary service required to expedite the completion of the work requested by LSUS. Additionally, LSUS reserves the right to provide hardware and materials such as key blanks, cylinders and cores, locking hardware, door closers, miscellaneous parts and any other associated materials that may be required by this contract. This scope of work includes manual physical key lock systems as well as a slowly increasing number of electronic key entry systems. It also includes but is not limited to: repair, remodel, adjustments and maintenance of manual and automated locks, locking systems and security devices; computerized access control systems; door openers, closers, roll-up doors, gates and hardware of all current types of locks and their component parts for campus buildings and rooms as requested by the Facility Services Director or their delegate. The following is an example list of the routine types of services to be performed under the hourly rates provided under this solicitation. This list includes but not limited to the following:1.Open building door or interior door2.Make keys (from existing copy or Bitting code)3.Re-key/re-pin a lock on a master-key system4.Replace key cylinder5.Install only a new lock hardware6.Install only a deadbolt lock hardware7.Remove old lock hardware and install a new lock hardware8.Troubleshoot and repair electronic lock systems
