1. Installation shall be by directional bore in all locations except three (3) locations as noted on the Drawings where installation can be done through open trenching at Contractor’s option if less expensive than directional bore. The Contractor shall clearly indicate their chosen method for each location on the Bid Form (Exhibit D), and the bid pricing shall reflect that method. 2. All conduit for bores shall be a minimum of 2 inches in diameter, but may be larger if required to accommodate wiring. 3. All wiring shall be sized appropriately according to local, state, or national standards calculating no more than a 3% voltage drop. 4. Aluminum wire may be substituted for copper wiring for any wire gauge over #6. Alternate prices for such shall be included on the Bid Form (Exhibit D). CPC shall choose at its own discretion which type of wiring shall be installed. 5. All electrical boxes / enclosures shall be Quazite by Hubbell, 12” x 12”, Tier 22, or approved equal, and labeled “electrical” on the lid. Substitution requests shall be submitted with the bid. 6. All subsurface terminations shall have Polaris insulated taps – no substitutions allowed. 7. All electrical whips shall be 3 feet long and the ends terminated in 20a Hubbell strait blade connectors – no substitutions allowed. 8. Dielectric grease shall be applied to all subsurface connection points. 9. All tie-ins to electrical panels shall be done using rigid conduit. 10. All Circuits will be 20 amp unless otherwise noted. 11.Contractor shall provide CPC with 2 weeks’ notice before any boring or trenching so that work can be coordinated with park activities. 12. The Contractor is responsible for locating all utilities within bore locations. Any information provided by CPC regarding utilities is for reference only and shall not be relied upon or used to hold CPC liable. The Contractor remains solely responsible for any necessary repairs resulting from utility damage. 13.Contractor shall clean up all debris caused by its work and leave all sites in the same general condition as they were prior to its work, including but not limited to replacing turf damaged by equipment or open trenching. It is highly recommended that Contractor protect turf from equipment.
