Purpose A field-portable, research-grade spectroradiometer system for collecting high-resolution reflectance and radiance spectra of vegetation, soil, and water surfaces for digital/precision agriculture, remote sensing, and ecological applications. The instrument must be equivalent to a research-grade full-range field spectroradiometer commonly used in agricultural and environmental remote sensing. General Requirements The instrument must be: • Suitable for outdoor field use • Handheld or backpack-based operation • Integrated internal computer or tablet interface for real-time visualization and data storage • Compatible with common geospatial and data analysis workflows (.txt, .csv, ASD file formats) Spectral Performance The instrument must have: • Spectral Range: 350–2500 nm • Spectral Resolution: o ~3-6 nm or better in the VNIR region (350–1000 nm) o ~8–10 nm or better in the SWIR region (1000–2500 nm) • Sampling Interval: ≤ 1 nm • High signal-to-noise ratio (appropriate for vegetation canopy reflectance work) Optics & Measurement The instrument should have: • Full-range fiber-optic input • Cosine receptor for irradiance measurement • contact probe and leaf clip for plant spectral measurement Accessories & Software The instrument must have: • Tripod mount • GPS information collection capability • Automatic dark current correction • Software for: o Real-time spectrum display & control o Reflectance calculation
