1. The contractor must follow all Federal, State, and Local laws/guidelines, as well as the codes and standards of any relevant utilities providers in their implementation of the grant-required demolition. This includes the proper disconnect, capping, and/or abandonment of all underground, water, sewer lines; all underground and overhead electrical wires and all on-site water wells. 2. Disconnect, remove, and cap all underground utility 2 feet below grade such as water and sewer. Disconnect and remove all underground and overhead electrical and/or cable wires to meet code and standards of the appropriate electrical service provider. 3. Demolish and remove all aspects of structures and outbuildings on site to include slabs, footings, patios, fencing, walkways, permeable and non-permeable paving located at 107 A Begnaud Road, Scott, LA 70583. If pile foundation exists over land, piles must be cut 2 feet below grade. If pile foundation exists over any waterway or drainage canal, piles must be removed completely. 4. If property has sidewalks, all sidewalks are to be undamaged, and driveways are to be removed and replaced with sidewalk of the same quality to ensure consistent sidewalks. If damage to the sidewalk occurs during the demolition process, the sidewalk MUST be replaced. 5 6. Remove and properly dispose of all debris, including asbestos and any other hazardous materials. Remove septic tank (if applicable) and back fill to grade. If not removed, floors and walls of the tank must be cracked or crumbled so that the tank does not retain water and fill with sand or other clean fill.
