Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District ("District") is requesting proposals fromenvironmental consultants ("Consultant") with the capacity to assist the District in evaluatingenvironmental risk associated with operation of 4 ½ miles of petroleum pipeline in Milwaukee,Wisconsin. The District is currently planning to construct a pipeline to convey landfill gas from alandfill in Muskego, Wisconsin to its Jones Island Wastewater Treatment Facility. The Districthas identified an existing petroleum pipeline which is not currently in use. The pipeline hadpreviously been used to convey various petroleum products, and is at least partially locatedwithin Union Pacific Railroad Right of Way. Portions of the pipeline are nearly 50 years old,with other portions less than 20 years old. The District is exploring the possibility of purchasingthat pipeline from its current owner and converting the use to landfill gas
