Project Description: It is anticipated that the chosen contractor(s) shall be given various tasks before and following a major storm event related to but not limited to the following: restore functionality to critical structures, plugging and breaching levees, debris removal inclusive of windrowing and hauling, debris clearance and grubbing operations, installing various flood protection measures, damage assessment, etc. The emergency operations are anticipated to be performed at any of the SLLD’s flood protection structures, earthen levees, water control structures, pump stations and operation center. Proposals received prior to the time of the scheduled proposal opening will be securely kept unopened. No proposal received after the scheduled time for opening will be considered. Proposers are cautioned to allow ample time for transmittal of proposals by mail or otherwise. Proposers are urged to secure information relative to the probable time of arrival and distribution of mail at the place where the proposals are to be opened.
