Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project Development, as used in this RFP, shall mean all work necessary to complete the scope of services pursuant to NC LIVE's requirements and direction. A. The proposed solution must meet each of the following standards/goals: i. Integrate into the existing NC LIVE architecture · The utility should function in the same manner regardless of whether users are working from within a library, or from "unregistered," ISP-based locations. · Search-submission forms and buttons can use existing NC LIVE webpage elements and replace the EZ Search forms and buttons. · Look-and-feel of the utility must be customizable to match the existing website design. ii. Targeting and Searching · Utility should be capable of searching all current NC LIVE database targets and, optionally, allow for the temporary or arbitrary exclusion of one or more targets from searches. · Specify the frequency and/or process employed to modify connection scripts in the event that content providers change their interface(s). · Search results should return brief or detailed views depending on configuration and user preferences. Detailed views should minimally provide abstracts to linked articles matching search terms at a given content provider/database target. · Provision should be made for institutions to integrate their own link resolver and include local catalogs as a target.
