Architectural Design: Provide a design that meets the design requirements as outlined in Section II and design a functional, aesthetically pleasing, and innovative shelter within applicable national, state, and local building codes, as well as the ADA. All designs shall be guided by universal design and ADA principles. Prepare and complete final architectural contract drawings. The consultant shall be the Architect of Record for any designs. Site, Civil and Utility Design: Prepare site geometry, civil engineering, and utility standards for a typical shelter location, including recommended standards for site grading, pavement design, utilities, drainage, stormwater management, fencing, curbing, and connections to existing utilities at possible installation sites. Landscape/Urban Design: Provide recommended landscape standards for a new shelter design, including attention to stormwater management through green infrastructure and tree canopy in the vicinity of the shelter.
