The purpose of this Request for Quote (RFQ) is to obtain competitive quotes (sometimes referred to herein for convenience as “bids”) from qualified respondents (referred to herein for convenience as “Bidders”) who are interested in being designated by the State Superintendent of Education to provide services as the sole authorized textbook depository serving in a preferred status for the ordering and distribution of school books and for the ordering of specialized formats (e.g., Braille, large print, digital, audio, etc.). Acknowledging the changing states of educational publishing, instructional resources, and the roles played by the LDOE and LEAs in selecting those resources, this RFQ seeks a Contractor who can also provide management services for instructional material subscriptions in addition to printing services for open educational resources.
