Cleaning and preparing all designated existing airfield markings, taxiway lines, and areas where new taxiway lines are to be painted. This includes, but is not limited to, the removal of dirt, debris, oil, grease, loose paint, and other contaminants to ensure proper adhesion of new paint. Methods may include pressure washing, scraping, sandblasting (if approved), or chemical cleaning, as appropriate for the surface and contaminant. The Contractor shall dispose of all waste materials in accordance with applicable environmental regulations. Painting a restricted area line, approximately 5,300 linear feet (LF), using beaded red paint that meets all applicable airfield marking specifications UFC 3-260- 04 Figure 6-17. Marking must be red and 6” width. Applying glass beads to the painted line to provide reflectivity, ensuring proper visibility during nighttime and low-visibility conditions. The line width and bead application rate shall conform to specified standards. Painting restricted area blocks, each measuring 36” length and 30” width at 100’ intervals along the restricted area boundary. Verbiage to be coordinated with Security Forces. UFC 3-260-04 Figure 6-18 depicts marking with proper verbiage. Painting double 6” taxiway edge lines, approximately 1,100 LF, using yellow paint that meets all applicable airfield marking specifications. Lines must be 6” wide with a 6” gap between the two stripes. Applying black borders to the yellow taxiway edge lines to enhance contrast and visibility. The width of the black borders shall be 6”. The spacing between the double lines shall conform to specified standards. White 6” single tow line w/ black borders approximately 1,800 LF with six TOW ONLY signs, 2’ in height letters IAW UFC 3-260-04 Figure 6-16 Note #2. Painting two movement area marking lines at each throat at alert as per UFC 3- 260-04. 6” wide. UFC 3-260-04 Ch 8-7 and figure 8-5 governs this marking. Two yellow retroreflective lines, one solid, one dashed. The lines are 6” wide with a 6” gap between each. The solid line goes on the apron side of the marking and the dashed line goes on the taxiway side of the marking. The dashed lines are 6” wide by 3’ long with a 3’ space between dashed markings. Painting five Entry Control Point markings in accordance with UFC 3-260-04 6-5.10 and figure 6-17 on Restricted Area Line. White retroreflective bars are painted centered on red restriction line. These bars are 3’ long by 6” wide separated by a 6” gap. Performing demolition of 80 LF of existing taxi lines. The demolition shall be conducted in a safe and controlled manner, minimizing disruption to airfield operations.
