LPSS wishes to obtain proposals which: ● are reliable and cost-effective ● are aligned with the district’s service requirements, educational direction, and aspirations for student achievement ● are easily upgradable/expandable to meet future needs ● are easily integrated into our current network infrastructure ● are compatible with existing handsets and ATAs. ● have minimal impact to users ● can be implemented in a timely manner ● require minimal LPSS work hours needed for implementation Vendors are encouraged to learn about the district’s current network configuration, requirements, and initiatives. 5.0 Connectivity Requirements LPSS’ internet service is provided through a 10Gb/s fiber connection by Cox Internet. The district’s WAN consists of multiple dedicated 10Gb/s connections to each campus through Uniti Fiber. LPSS’ connection to the current telephony provider is run through a dedicated connection provided by LFT Fiber. LPSS currently has the use of three contiguous DiD blocks: ● 337-521-7xxx, our main block, used for most numbers ● 337-210-97xx ● 337-236-68xx ● 337-236-69xx ● 337-236-85xx excluding 236-8503 In addition, LPSS has several phone extensions which can not be directly dialed from outside the system. These extensions can be reached by dialing a specific phone number (currently 337-521-7411) and entering the 5-digit extension. LPSS uses a network comprised primarily of Brocade ICX 6450, Ruckus ICX 7150, and ICX 8200 ethernet routing switches. The proposed system must connect to this network. The proposed solution must use handsets and devices currently owned by LPSS. These handsets and devices are: ● Cisco SPA 504G handset (discontinued) ● Aastra 6737i handset (discontinued) ● Aastra 57i handset (discontinued) ● Grandstream GXP-1405 handset ● Yealink T46S and T54W handsets ● 3Com V1111 Analog Telephony Adaptor ● Audio Codes MP-102 Analog Telephony Adaptor The current LPSS telephony solution provider divides accounts into three tiers: ● Lowest tier ○ Used for the login accounts of ATAs ○ Provides no voicemail ○ Unlimited long-distance to the contiguous United States ○ LPSS currently has 146 of this tier of user ● Middle tier ○ Provides voicemail, voicemail to email ○ Unlimited long-distance to the contiguous United States ○ Desktop and mobile collaboration features ○ LPSS currently has 1502 of this tier of user ● Highest tier ○ Provides voicemail, fax to voicemail, voicemail to email ○ Unlimited long-distance to the contiguous United States ○ Desktop and mobile collaboration features ○ LPSS currently has 22 of this class of user
