Specifications include, but are not limited to: Develop strategies for programs that support the overall marketing campaign, including but not limited to niche marketing; Develop/maintain relationships with key media contacts to ensure consistent and aggressive editorial outreach nationally; Shall provide developed media pitches and national story angles as directed by client; Copywriting/proofing; Shall secure and implement familiarization tours; Plan and coordinate public relations/media relations events on a national level as directed; Work with appropriate State staff on crisis communication as needed; Provide content, as directed for special requests or projects; Identify/recommend public relations opportunities which enhance the Kentucky brand, and determine/implement strategies to maximize the return on the State's investment for participation; Shall have one office in New York City; shall understand and be extremely familiar with Kentucky's tourism industry and media
