The KBVE is seeking to hire one or more qualified individuals to serve as an investigator/inspector(s) for the board. Duties of the qualified investigator/inspector will include reviewing testimony and veterinary medical records; interviewing complainants, respondents, and other witnesses; inspecting records and documents; submitting written investigative reports to the Board and its Complaints Screening Committee; compiling case files; preparing testimony for administrative hearings; and interpreting veterinary law and regulations. Inspection duties include visiting animal control agencies applying for certification to ensure proper controls are in place for controlled substances housed onsite, documenting compliance or deficiencies, and working with control agency staff on remedial measures.
