This project consists of demolition of masonry smokestack approximately 176-feet in height and adjoining equipment shed, located in close proximity to adjacent Heat Plant and classroom buildings. Utility feeds to the equipment shed have been disconnected through separate project, but capping and sealing of the conduits is to be included. The Project is located on the main campus of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. Work includes protection of existing structures and roofs and select demolition procedures to carefully demolish this deteriorated structure from the center of campus. Work includes excavation, fill, and new site pavement around the Ramsey Heat Plant. This work is to be performed through contract between the Contractor and Owner. Alternate 1: Change site pavement on North and South lots from asphalt to concrete type.
