Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intent and purpose of this specification to describe the minimum requirements for a 60 beam free-thaw machine. The machine furnished shall be new and manufacturer’s latest standard production model. Must be complete with ALL standard equipment as listed as such in the manufacturer’s latest literature. Two (2) copies of the manufacturer’s published specifications may be submitted with bid. This solicitation has been issued on behalf of the Kentucky Department of Transportation for two (1) custom built 60 beam freeze-thaw machine with touch screen control, data logger, self contained water tank and integrated compressor within the unit. One single Master Agreement contract will be awarded. This solicitation includes purchase of the machines, extended warranty and service maintenance agreement. The machine is utilized for the evaluation of resistance of concrete to rapid freezing and thawing. They shall meet or exceed the current test method standards set by American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) C666 Standard Test Method for Resistance of Concrete to Rapid Freezing and Thawing and Kentucky Method 64-626. The successful bidder will supply: one (1) freeze-thaw machine; delivery; installation and any tools, equipment or parts (i.e. connectors) to complete installation; care manuals; training; and a minimum one year parts and labor warranty.
