Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor will provide intervention and/or prevention services that are based on a twelve step program of AA, NA, or equivalent support group. Contractor will work closely with the Kentucky Board of Physical Therapy Complaint Committee to assure proper implementation and administration of policies and procedures related to the program. The Contractor will assume responsibility of monitoring participants for program compliance by: # Screening and interviewing new candidates for the Impaired Physical Therapy Practitioner Program. # Providing qualified intervention and/or prevention services to applicants and licensees approved by KBPT for assistance and monitoring. # Following terms of any Settlement Agreements of disciplined licensees and certificate holders. # Arranging for participants to undergo random urine and/or blood drug screens, as appropriate. # Communicating with participant’s therapists regarding progress and treatment. # Maintaining a case file on each participant with properly executed release forms. # Making recommendations regarding an ongoing rehabilitation program or changes to a program. # Maintaining timely and accurate communication with the Board on significant events that occur related to impairment and/or the ability of a credential holder to practice safely. # Attending all Complaint Committee and Board Meetings. The typical IPTPC agreement is for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years. The Contractor will provide the following services to the Kentucky Board of Physical Therapy: # Work closely with staff from Kentucky Board of Physical Therapy to assure proper implementation and administration of policies and procedures related to the program. # Provide information to the Board in a timely manner where there are significant exceptions or lapses in the conformity of participants. # Provide written reports on the conformity of contract conditions, participant progress, and case monitoring to the Board prior to each scheduled Board meeting.
